From the beginning of next season players who dive or feign injury could face two-match suspensions, the new offense “successful deception of a match official” was approved at the FA’s annual general.
Under the new rules, when there's evidence that a match official has been successful deceived and there has been a consequence, such as a red card given to a player from the opposing side or a penalty being awarded, the FA will now be able to take retrospective action. We’re committed to cleaning up the game.
