Chelsea are reportedly certain that manager Antonio Conte will sign a new deal with the club.
Conte has enjoyed a highly impressive first season at Chelsea, going through to the last stage of the FA Cup and closing in on the Premier League title and through to the final stage of the FA Cup.As reported by Daily Mirror, the club is prepared to extend his contract despite him having over two years remaining on his contract deal at Chelsea.
The report claims Conte’s salary will be increased to £10 million, as they intend to keep interest from Inter Milan under control.
Also, the Italian will be permitted to pick his assistant coach, the report suggests, with Steve Holland, the current assistant coach, set to join the England coaching staff on a full-time basis.
Chelsea will secure the Premier League title with a victory away to West Brom on Friday night, with Conte’s switch to a 3-4-3 formation earlier in the season having played a key role in the progress that his team has made.
